Vacuum evaporators AQUADEST-K utilize circulation heat pump as a cooling and heating element. Vacuum is provided by ejector jet.
Vacuum evaporators AQUADEST-K are designed to process low volumes of thermally instable and highly corrosive solutions. Evaporation occurs at very lowe temperature, that is why the whole process is very gentle to processed solution.
The pressure in the boiling chamber is 6-7 kPa. The boiling point of water is at 35-40 °C. Energy consumption per one liter of distillate starts at 0,15 kWh.

Material is always designed with respect to inlet solution.
Technology process
Inlet solution is fed directly into boiling chamber. From there the solution is circulated by the circulation pump through heat exchanger of heat pump, where it heats up, then it is brought back to boiling chamber. Upon arival to boiling chamber flash evaporation occurs. Due to high temperature of solution and high pressure drop part of the solution evaporates instantly. Unevaporated part of solution stays in boiling chamber and undergoes another circulation in concentrate circuit.
Evaporated part of solution rises to the top part of boiling chamber, where it condenses on the cooling heat exchanger of the heat pump. Condensed vapor is sucked out of the heat exchanger by the ejector jet. The ejector jet is the only source of vacuum in this type of vacuum evaporator. Condensed part of solution is called distillate. Distillate is then pumped out of the vacuum evaporator.
Heating and cooling is provided by the heat pump circuit. This circuit is made out of two heat exchangers, a compressor and a fan. Freon-free coolant is used as a medium in the heat pump circuit.
Evaporators AQUADEST-K are characterized by continuous operation. This means that the solution in the boiling chamber is kept at maximal desired concentration. Concentrate is continuously poured out of the evaporator. Fresh inlet solution is continuously poured into the boiling chamber.
